Orreco Acquires Jessica Ennis-Hill's Jennis to Empower Female Athletes
Galway-based AI sports company Orreco has acquired Jennis, the women's health and performance platform co-founded by Dame Jessica Ennis-Hill. The acquisition brings together Orreco AI, FitrWoman, Jennis and DDSA computer vision to create the most advanced women's performance ecosystem. The technology is used by over 25 Olympic medallists including England's Lionesses, USWNT, WNBA, NWSL and WSL teams. The deal follows Orreco's $4m funding round led by Enterprise Ireland and tech investor Mark Cuban, supporting 55 new jobs globally including 30 in Galway. read more
TeamFeePay Secures €9.1M to Expand Digital Platform, Plans 75 Jobs
Belfast sports-tech start-up TeamFeePay has closed a £9m equity funding round led by YFM Equity Partners (£4.5m) and Investment Fund for Northern Ireland (£3m). The platform helps football coaches manage fixtures, training, attendance and administration for nearly 300,000 users across 1,500+ clubs. The funding will accelerate expansion into UK and European markets and create 75 new jobs in sales, marketing and product development over the next two years. Dublin-based Quantum Sports Data closed an investment round led by SportsContentCo, bringing golf's first Same Game Parlay (SGP) technology to the regulated U.S. sports betting market. The partnership launches ahead of the 2026 Masters, with SportsContentCo Chairman Pat Deon joining QSD's board. CEO Dylan Beirne emphasized the company's U.S. expansion through proprietary golf SGP engine and pricing technology, addressing golf betting's unique complexity.
