ClubSpot: Global Ambition from a Cavan Postcode
Cavan-based ClubSpot is proving that world-class sports tech doesn't need a Dublin postcode. Output Sports Partners with HYROX365 to Bring Data-Driven Testing to Athletes Worldwide
Dublin-based Output Sports, a spin-out of University College Dublin, has been named the official HYROX365 Athlete Testing and Benchmarking Partner, launching the HYROX Conditioning Test (HCT) — a first-of-its-kind 34-minute standardised assessment built specifically for HYROX athletes. Results generate a HYROX Conditioning Score within the Output Sports platform, enabling coaches to benchmark performance and track progress. Early data shows that improving an athlete's score by just one point translates to roughly 90 seconds faster on race day. The partnership reaches a global network of 15,000+ affiliated gyms and 75,000 coaches. read more

Global SportsTech Ecosystem Report 2026 – SportsTechX & PEAK
The SportsTechX Global SportsTech Ecosystem Report 2026, published in partnership with PEAK Conference, delivers the complete data picture of where the industry's money, momentum, and power are moving — covering every deal, every region, and every number behind the story.
Europe overtakes North America in SportsTech funding for the first time — Europe captured 51% of 2025 funding — $4.5B vs $4.0B — a historic shift that signals the continent is no longer playing catch-up in the global sports technology race, with the UK and Finland leading the European charge
SportsTech is buying itself — Sportstech-on-sportstech acquisitions have tripled from 21 deals in 2016 to 68 in 2025, as companies like Teamworks, Hudl, and Sportradar assemble platform stacks through acquisition rather than building — with 87% of all 2025 acquisitions made by SportsTech companies themselves, up from just 47% in 2020
Deal sizes surging even as volume holds steady — Average deal value jumped to $43.6M in 2025, up from $28.1M in 2024, despite a near-identical number of rounds (200 vs 194) — signalling that investors are concentrating capital behind fewer, bigger bets
"For Fans" dominates SportsTech investment — Fan-facing companies attracted $5.7B in 2025 alone — nearly 10x the $598M directed at executive-side technology — confirming that engagement, media, and direct-to-consumer plays are where the capital is flowing
